Monday, April 26th, 1954: 18-year-old Lenny Marsham sent shock waves through British Collegiate Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the British Collegiate Association Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Marsham made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .529 average, 9 hits in 17 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 RBI.
Where the Saint George's catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Marsham certainly made his mark last week.
